Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha to Serengeti National Park

We will depart from Arusha early in the morning, embarking on our journey to Serengeti National Park. Our route will take us along the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, offering wonderful opportunities for wildlife sightings along the way. The golden savannah and vast plains, alive with zebras, wildebeest, and giraffes, truly illustrate why the Serengeti is considered one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa.

We’ll enjoy a picnic lunch at Naabai Kopje, a small rocky hill in an otherwise flat landscape, where you may spot the Serengeti’s famous pink-headed lizards. After lunch, we’ll continue our exploration with a leisurely game drive across the plains. You’ll spend the night at Serengeti Camp, where you can drift off to sleep accompanied by the playful calls of zebras and hyenas. Dinner and overnight accommodations will be at your lodge.

Day 2: North Serengeti

Today, we’ll immerse ourselves in the heart of the Serengeti. The park is home to an incredibly diverse array of wildlife, so you can expect to see lions, leopards, elephants, cheetahs, water buffalo, zebras, and wildebeest, among many others. You might also encounter elands, hyenas, gazelles, crocodiles, giraffes, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos, and various antelope species. Regardless of the season, there is always abundant wildlife in the Serengeti to observe.

After a day filled with incredible animal sightings, we will enjoy a delicious dinner at the Serengeti Heritage Tented Lodge.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater

In the morning, we’ll embark on one last game drive in the Serengeti before heading to Ngorongoro Crater. After a day of exciting wildlife encounters and a picnic lunch, we will make our way to the Crater.

Tonight, we’ll stay at Rhino Lodge, which overlooks the stunning, unbroken caldera of Ngorongoro Crater. The views of the sunset over the savannah are breathtaking, providing the perfect backdrop for reflection after a day of adventure. Guests will enjoy a flavorful dinner and overnight stay at Rhino Lodge.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

After an early breakfast, we will make our way into Ngorongoro Crater, the best time to spot wildlife. Today’s itinerary includes a game drive around the crater, with a picnic lunch at a serene lake within the park. This lake is a haven for hippos and migratory birds, making it a delightful stop.

The unique ecosystem of the crater offers an excellent chance to see all members of the Big Five: the fierce lion, majestic elephant, elusive leopard, powerful rhino, and formidable water buffalo. Ngorongoro Crater is a truly remarkable destination, also home to beautiful storks, ibises, and cranes.
